ILMA University Library Rules and Regulations



1. Library Membership:

  • All students, faculty, and staff of ILMA University are eligible to become library members.

2. Library Hours:

  • The library operates during regular university hours.
  • Timings may be subject to change during holidays, vacations, or special events.
  • Any changes in library hours will be communicated in advance.

3. Conduct and Etiquette:

  • Maintain a quiet and conducive environment for studying and research.
  • Refrain from engaging in disruptive behavior, including loud conversations, phone calls, or audio without headphones.
  • Eating, drinking, and smoking are strictly prohibited in the library.
  • Mobile phones should be switched to silent or vibration mode.
  • Treat library materials, equipment, and facilities with care and respect.
  • Engaging in any form of plagiarism or academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.

4. Borrowing and Returning Library Materials:

  • Borrowing privileges are extended to registered members only.
  • Members are responsible for the materials borrowed under their names.
  • Loan periods and renewal policies will be communicated by the library staff.
  • Overdue fines will be imposed for late returns or failure to renew items.
  • Lost or damaged materials must be reported to the library immediately, and appropriate charges may apply.

5. Complaints and Suggestions:

  • Users are encouraged to provide feedback, suggestions, or complaints regarding library services and facilities.
  • Such feedback can be submitted in writing or through the STEP Portal.

6. Suspension of Library Privileges:

  • The library reserves the right to suspend or revoke library privileges for individuals who violate library rules and regulations.
  • Suspension may be temporary or permanent, depending on the severity of the violation.

7. Amendments to Rules and Regulations:

  • The library reserves the right to amend or update these rules and regulations as necessary.
  • Users will be notified of any significant changes in library policies.
